| Kopyjet System Requirements:
Pentiumtm 100Mhz computer or better. 32 megs of RAM (64 megs of RAM recommended) 16 bit graphics card or better CDROM 2X speed or better Microsoft Windows 95 or 98 160 Megs of Available Harddrive space. You can use any pre-existing TWAIN-compatible scanner you may already own or purchase one from us with your order. Kolor Kartridges: Kolor Kartridges are for use with Canon Bubble-Jet Printers ONLY. We do not manufacture Kolor Kartridges for use in printers made by other manufacturers nor have any immediate plans to do so. Kolor Kartridges are FDA, EEC and KOSHER approved. Made with all allowed and permitted amounts of food colors and ingredients. Life of the Kolor Kartridges are variable. When printing on 1/4 sheet cake sized frosting sheets (7.5" x 10"), the average is about 35-45 images per set of Kartridges. On 1/2 sheet cake sized frosting sheets (10" x 16"), the average is roughly 15-20. If using large printed images with a large amount of color, you may get less images per set of Kartridges, whereas lighter colored pictures may get more. The Kolor Kartridge set (#KJKCSET), consists of one 3 color Kartridge and one black kartridge. Kolor Kartridges are recommended for use with the Kopyjet Printer only. Kolor Kartridges are not compatible with most other printer cartridge configurations. Frosting Sheets Frosting sheets are completely edible and are approved as a food product. Frosting Sheets are presently available in 5 sizes. (1/4 sheet) which measures 7.5" x 10" and (1/2 sheet), which measures 10" x 16", as well as 2", 8", and 10" rounds. After printing, Frosting Sheets may be cut to fit any other size cake, such as round, etc. The Kopykake Frosting Sheets are great for use with our Projectors and Airbrush systems. Do your decorations prior to the day your cake is needed!! Frosting Sheets work best on Buttercream or BetterCreme type frostings. Even frozen cakes work great. On Whipped Cream cakes that contain a high moisture content, printed images may tend to bleed or fade. It is recommended that for Whip Cream cakes, you fill the cake with Whip Cream, but frost the top with buttercream After printing or drawing, the Frosting Sheet is peeled off of the backing sheet and placed onto your iced cake top. The Large Kopyjet Printer will accept both out Large (1/2 sheet) and Small (1/4 sheet) size Frosting Sheets. The Small Kopyjet Printer accepts only the Small sized Frosting Sheets. Frosting Sheets are excellent for preparing your Kopykake Cake Decoration Drawings ahead of time and applying them to your plain frosted cakes when needed. Scanner Scanners sold with the Kopyjet Printer are 36bit Color flatbed scanner. 8.5" x 11.7" Scanning Area. 600 dpi X 1200 dpi Optical Resolution. The scanner connects to your computer's parallel printer port. You must have a parallel printer port available for use by the scanner. The Kopyjet printer is piggy-backed onto the scanner by plugging the scanner into your computer's parallel port and then plugging the Kopyjet Printer into the back of the scanner. If you have an existing printer, you may need to purchase an A/B Switch box which will be hooked up to the back of the scanner and then the Kopyjet printer and your existing printer will be connected to the A/B Switch Box. This method may not work with all printers. Consult your existing printer's manual for more information. When scanning a photo, the average time from start to finish is about 8 minutes. You can use any pre-existing TWAIN-compatible scanner you may already own or purchase one from us with your order. |
